Conco Services Corporation is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our Verona, Pennsylvania location!

What the job entails:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will assist the Production Manager in implementing improvements and metrics to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness of the Manufacturing Department. The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Product Engineering Manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Access and utilize sales information (current orders and jobs, history, forecasts, etc...) to help establish inventory levels, determine production schedules, and increase efficiencies;
  • Assist Production Manager in processing assembly entries, Bill of Materials maintenance, and part number maintenance;
  • Monitor current processes and procedures for ongoing improvements;
  • Assist Production Manager with establishment, collection, and monitoring of performance metrics. This will include time studies, capacity evaluations, and costing analysis;
  • Coordinate several processes with variable outputs to streamline finished good production;
  • Assist Production Manager in establishing and/or modifying desired inventory levels;
  • Monitor, track, and plan raw and component materials required;
  • Monitor, track, and plan finished goods inventory at all Conco sites, inclusive of mobile units;
  • Communicate with manufacturing team leaders daily;
  • Provide shop floor drawing assistance as needed, and maintain all Engineering drawings;
  • Establish layout for production cells of existing and new products including inventory layout;
  • Produce step-by-step instruction support documents as needed;
  • Assist in any other areas as directed by the Production Manager;
  • Assist the design engineer in the development of new CONCO products;
  • Provide, modify, and organize engineering drawings;
  • Support the design engineer with material requirements, availability, and manufacturing requirements for new or changing products;
  • Assist the design engineer in coordination and documentation of all new product testing;
  • Assist the design engineer in development of new and existing products into multiple sizes of configurations, including BOM, supporting drawings, and suppliers or sources for inventory components;
  • Provide manufacturing with design assistance for upgrades and machine repairs as needed;
  • Support Special Project needs;
  • Manage Solid Works software service; 

Skills

  • Solid Works;
  • Microsoft Excel;
  • Great Plains (Not required but helpful);
  • Arena (Not required but helpful); 

Attributes

  • Strong ability to learn and understand manufacturing processes, and work flows;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally, and through documentation;
  • Creative and mechanically inclined;
  • Ability to change tasks quickly;

 

Experience & Education

  • 4 year Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Logistics, Mechanical or similar;
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to inventory control activities and principles;
  • Physically submit to periodic drug, background and clearance screenings 9employment is contingent upon favorable results);
